Discipline The Key To Prosperity

Emulating the secret of Singapore's success story, Cebu wished to instill discipline as the ONLY way for Cebuanos to prosper. Our government officials are trying to strike the balance between freedom and discipline. Our CPDRC inmates just showed us that if you had little freedom, discipline is the only way for you to have your dignity and eventually prosper. These inmates are now earning while being detained through the livelihood program initiated by the government. Their algorhythm show is presented below. They did not went into this for a show. The very purpose why they do this is to keep them physically fit & to follow the orders as instructed.



It is through discipline that can achieve our goals.

The South Road Properties

The South Road Properties (SRP) a.k.a. South Reclamation Project is one of the big projects in Cebu City. It is a commercial land where the South Coastal Road passes. The City government is already looking for investors to fill-in the site in order to generate more jobs for the Cebuanos. With all the hypes & hiccups involving this project, more people were supporting the efforts of establishing the commercial area in order to start generating revenues. This is one of the hopes & opportunities people should not miss in Cebu as we journey into the economic boom.

Tourism Cebu

Cebu has been known as a tourist destination. An island in the Pacific within the Philippine archipelago, it has a lot of quality beach resorts from the northern to the southern tip. Tourists often prefer Cebu due to the availability of International Airport and with lesser road travel required to reach a certain resort.

Known to other countries as a tourist spot that everyone should not miss in Asia, Cebu had seen increased tourist arrivals in the first half of this year. Because of this, the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority initiated an expansion plan for the airport which will accommodate as well the cargoes tourists, balikbayans, and forwarders.

Opportunities for business should also not be missed as IT infrastructures are in place which prompted call centers to sprout in the island. Investment and financial institutions are also branching out from Metro Manila to capture the growing market in Cebu. Foreigners can look for potential partners in the industry of their choice to put up the needed capital for a business venture that is bound to grow, given the bustling economic activities of the whole island. Much more, Department of Trade & Industry together with the City government initiated a one-stop shop for business registration.

Politics is not so much of an issue in Cebu City due to the absence of opposition in the City hall (they were unable to get at least 1 seat), though fiscalizers are still present. So, there is nothing much to worry about politics in Cebu.
